  • 0830-1600 Stress & Anger Management Workshop Day 1 of 2 - Location TBD. Please call to register and they will tell you where this workshop will be held. This two-day, combined workshop will cover Anger Management, Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence, and Communication Skills and will conclude with a two hour skills session on stress reduction techniques by a certified instructor through Semper Fit. Participants will learn to identify their stressors, stress symptoms, anger expression style, communication style, and positive techniques for managing anger, conflict, and stress. This free workshop is open all ID cardholders. Please call Resilience Education for location and to register, 910-451-2865.

  • 1830-2100 Jujitsu Bldg 39 Next to Goettge Memorial Field House - Learn the art of weaponless self-defense using throws, holds, and blows from a 6th degree black belt! Dominate your attacker by using his weight, strength and energy against him! Cost: $50/month, payable on the first class of the month. Class size is limited.   • 1700 - 1900 Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Outdoor Adventures Office - BLDG 728. Learn proper technique and form to safely enjoy this popular sport! This 2-hour class meets every Wednesday evening (1700-1900) from May through August. Cost is $10 per person. Open to authorized patrons ages 12 and older; must have parent/guardian present if under age 18. Register and pay at the Outdoor Adventures Office. Space is limited; first come, first served.   • 1700-1800 ZumbAtomic!! (Zumba for the kiddos!!) Midway Park Community Center. Get fit, have fun and earn Zumba® gear and rewards for meeting your fitness goals! ZumbAtomic® is a 6-week dance-fitness class focusing on coordination, balance, creativity and more! Kids get to show off their moves in a recital for their parents at the end of the 6-week session! Class is taught by a licensed ZumbAtomic® instructor. $20/child; $30/family (2 or more children) per 6-week session. Register and pay at MCCS Midway Park Community Center.   • 1300-1630 Taking Control of Your Finances- Bldg 895 Stone Street (Lejeune Education Center) Room 101.   This workshop is an interactive training session, which covers the basics of starting a personal financial plan. Participants focus on developing realistic and measurable personal financial goals. Maintaining a workable budget to include savings, understanding military pay, and managing your credit/checkbook are further explored.   • 1300-1400 Kayak in the Sun -   Every Thursday Jun-Aug at 1300, Onslow Beach ICW 2nd & 4th Tuesdays Jun-Aug at 1800, Scales Creek Camp Johnson behind Bldg M-105 1st & 3rd Fridays Jun-Aug at 1700, TLZ Bluebird Enjoy a FREE scenic one-hour guided tour through Camp Lejeune's waterways! Kayaking is open to all authorized patrons ages 12 and up. Parent/Guardian must accompany children ages 12-16. Space is limited; first come, first served.   • 0800- FREE Family Fun Run!  -Starts at Tarawa Terrace Community Center. Come run, walk or roll (bikes or strollers welcome) with us! Themed-attire encouraged, but not required. We will track time and distance run for each participant; a printout of you progress will be provided at the end of the year. Plus you’ll earn a FREE t-shirt on your 4th run as a Frequent Runner Bonus! Every run includes a 3-mile option in addition to the scheduled distance. Family Fun Runs start at 0900, except Jul and Aug at 0800. Register on-site day of event. Open to all authorized patrons and pets (on leash). Info: 910.450.1687.
