27 February -
         Camp Lejeune:
  • 0700- 2-man Best Ball Blind Draw Golf - Paradise Point Golf Course- Cost $10 not including cart or greens fees. Tee-off is at 0830.

28 February
     Camp Lejeune:
  • 1300-1500: MCCS Warehouse "Yard Sale" Preview.Corner of West Road and Birch Street. Electronics, furniture, rec equipment, and more! Click here to see the flyer!

        New River:
  • 1030- LINKS for Parents & Extended Family - New River Chapel Annex. Orientation to the Marine Corps lifestyle and help in understanding the unique challenges of military life. For more info, call 449-5343/4676.
  • 1900-New River vs Camp Geiger Bowling Challenge! at Air Station Bowling Center. Think you can bowl, Marines? Come out and see who has the best team! Call 449-5145 for info.

  • 0830: Stress Management Workshop: Health Promotion, Bldg 302. Learn to identify the causes and symptoms of stress and to successfully manage life's major stressors. Free! Open to all ID card holders. Call 451-2865 for information
  • 1000: Well Baby Clinic: Tarawa Terrace Community Center. They will weigh and measure your child and answer any questions you have about your baby's health. FREE clothing exchange!
  • 1800: FREE Movie Night! "Knight & Day"- Camp Johnson Library. PG-13. It's a great movie...and it's free!
      New River:
  • 0930: Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours - Part III- Marine & Family Annex (AS-232) FREE! Workshop based on teachings of Dr. Kevin Leman. Learn to face behavioral challenges successfully. Call  449-4702 for more information.
2 March
    Camp Lejeune:
  • 0830: Anger Management Workshop: Health Promotions, Bldg. 302. Got anger? Learn to understand the root of your anger and how to express it appropriately. Free and open to all ID card holders. For information, call 451-2865.
  • 1600: Dr. Seuss's Birthday Party! Harriotte B Smith Library. All children ages 5-10 are invited. Please pre-register by calling 910-451-3026 or swing by the library!
  • 1830: Beyond the Brief Workshop Series: MCFTB Office Bldg LC 4012-A Butler Drive, Midway Park. Educate yourself on the difference between Combat Stress vs Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), the symptoms of both, how to handle them, and when to be concerned. Childcare will be offered if you call the childcare center in advance.  Call 451-0176 to register.
    New River:
  • 0800: Domestic Violence Training: Marine & Family Programs Bldg (AS-90). Representatives will provide education, support and awareness information. For more information, or to register, call 449-6110.
  • 0830: Pre-Marital Workshop: New River MCFTB (AS-232). A workshop for engaged couples. Learn to invest in your marriage, what predicts divorce, communication skills, financial responsibilities and more! Fore more information or to register, call 449-5343.
  • 1100: EFMP Workshop: New River Marine & Family Annex (AS-232). Meet Attorney for the EFMP, Vickie O'Brien, and learn how she can assist you and other EFMP families! Lunch will be served. Call 449-4894.
  • 1600: Dr. Seuss's Birthday Celebration: Station Library. Stories, games, fun, and cake! Ages 3 and up are invited. Call 449-6715.
3 March
      Camp Lejeune:
  • 1300: Taking Control of Your Finances Workshop: Bldg 302. on Holcomb Blvd. Covers the basics of starting a personal finance plan, understanding your pay, and creating a budget. Free and open to all ID card holders. Please register at 910-451-2865.
  • 1630: Naval Hospital Fertility Seminar: at the OB/GYN Clinic in the main hospital. 90-minute introduction to the Creighton Model of fertility care for couples or single women that would like to learn more about natural planning. Call 910-450-4564 to register.
  • 1900: Build Resiliency in  your Children! Meet Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg! Russell Marine & Family Center Auditorium. Read an article about Dr. Ginsburg and what this workshop offers here. Don't miss this - learn to help your children adapt to the military lifestyle. Open to all ID card holders. Please, no children at the event. There will be care at Brewster CDC, please call in advance 450-8467.
     New River:
  • 1000: Pre-School Story Time at the Station Library: Bldg AS-213. Stories, crafts, and games. Open to ages 3-5.
4 March
      Camp Lejeune:
  • 0900: Budget for Baby Workshop: Workforce Learning Center Bldg 524. Learn budgeting techniques and the effect a baby has on a family's finances. A FREE layette will be given to all USMC/USN families who attend and are expecting. The layettes contain brand name infant items and a handmade blanket. Call 451-5346/5584 to register.
  • 1130: EFMP Meet & Greet: Russell Marine & Family Services Center, Room 136. This will be a regular event on the first Friday of each month. Come meet other EFMP families and learn more about base resources. Free childcare with advance registration. Call 451-2672. Refreshments provided. EFMP

      Camp Lejeune:
  • MFCU Team Camp Lejeune 2011 Qualifier at Paradise Point Golf Course!
  • 1300: Cooking Class- Breakfast in Bed: Midway Park Community Center. Open to ages 10 and up. Please register in advance. 451-1807.
  • 1300: ROCK ON! Climbing Wall Class: Courthouse Bay Climbing Wall. Learn belaying and climbing techniques. Open to ages 18+. Space is limited. Please register - 440-7447/7454
        New River:
  • 0900: Babysitter's Training Class: New River Youth & Teen Activity Center. Cost: $35. Ages 11-18. Learn skills and gain confidence to care for infants and school-aged children. Videos, activities, hands-on training, and discussions. Now offering CPR & First Aid training with this class.
